DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Zardozi (zar- gold, dozi-embroidery) was once patronized by Mughal emperors and used extensively to adorn their clothes, chambers and curtains etc. Totally hand-embroidered by master artisans of Agra, the descendents of those who once created these pieces for the royalty, this stunning wall art has been created the age old way using a rectangular wooden frame and hooked needles. The only difference is that whereas centuries ago, real gold wires were used as embroidery threads, nowadays we use golden polished copper wires.
At Taj Gallery, we live to keep alive India’s Mughal art traditions, once the pride and joy of the royal houses. When art lovers such as you buy a Mughal art piece, the surviving few craftsmen are encouraged to pass this craft onto their children.

USAGE

It's Jewel Carpet and have to be used as Wall Hanging (With or without frame) or decorating table and other flat surfaces. Can not be used as Area Rug or Ground Carpet
